B&S Blech mit System GmbH is regarded as a leading service provider in the field of sheet metal processing and manufactures everything from a single source. It does not matter whether the part is simple or complex.

In order to relieve the salaried welders from series production and in response to the shortage of skilled workers, the company decided to automate series production. With the announcement of the TruArc Weld 1000 robotic welding cell from the company Trumph in cooperation with Universal Robots, movement came into the project. The robotic cell consists of a collaborative UR10e jointed-arm robot and a Fronius welding source and is suitable for workpieces up to 2 metres. The Trumph controls, which are perfectly matched to the kinematics, make the cell particularly user-friendly.

For a batch of 50 pieces, the robotic welding cell achieves a time saving of around 48%. Solutions like this are the ideal answer for medium-sized companies to the general shortage of skilled workers.
