The UBTECH Panda Robot, developed as the “Peace and Friendship Ambassador” for the China Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, is a full‑size humanoid robot inspired by the iconic panda image. Built on the humanoid robotics technology of UBTECH’s Walker platform, it features a highly expressive design with bionic eyes, dual flexible curved displays, a four‑dimensional indicator system, and 41 high‑performance servo‑driven joints enabling smooth, lifelike movement and emotional interaction. With a height of 130 cm and weight of 63 kg, it delivers advanced mobility across multiple terrain types through self‑balancing, precise gait control, and interference‑resistant motion.

Panda Robot integrates an omnidirectional perception system with vision, hearing, touch, and environmental sensing. Its navigation system, powered by U‑SLAM and high‑precision 3D perception, achieves fine localization down to 1 cm accuracy. Equipped with RGB‑D cameras, structured‑light 3D sensors, and a removable high‑capacity battery, it offers flexible deployment in exhibitions and public spaces. Wi‑Fi dual‑band connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, and open joint‑control interfaces support integration into interactive displays, media systems, and smart environments. Its multimodal interaction engine supports native emotional expressions, adaptive narration, real‑time conversation, and coordinated whole‑body motion.
